Japan to reinstate visa exemption arrangements from October 2022
23 September, 2022
From 11 October 2022, Japan will relax its border control measures, resuming visa-free travel and allowing travellers to enter for individual travel.
Travellers need to be fully vaccinated and have received a booster dose. Travellers without booster dose will have to present a negative pre-departure PCR test result within 72 hours of departure. Travellers from Singapore can enter Japan without serving quarantine or taking on-arrival Covid-19 tests.
