Effective 01 October 2025, foreign travelers and holders of an OCI card (Overseas Citizen of India) must complete an electronic form (e‑Arrival Card) up to 72 hours before entering India. The form includes details like passport number, nationality, purpose of visit, address in India and contact details. It replaces the previous paper-based form that was typically filled out upon arrival or during the flight.

The e‑Arrival Card can be submitted either via the official website of the Indian authorities or conveniently through the Indian Visa Su-Swagatam app.
